Description
Our Short /e/ Words with Pictures lesson plan teaches students about words with short /e/ patterns and how to recognize them. During this lesson, students are asked to practice reading words that have a short /e/ sound by first sounding them and then reading the whole word. Students are also asked to sort words with short /e/ sounds into “-ed,” “-en,” and “-et” categories.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to notice parts, or patterns, in words and will be able to use the short /e/ pattern to help them read words.
