Description
Our Reading Informational Texts lesson plan teaches students strategies for effectively reading and understanding informational texts. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to read a passage, write questions about it, and then answer the questions written by another pair of students. Students are also asked to work independently to answer critical reading questions about a passage that they read, demonstrating their ability to extract important information from their reading.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to read informational texts, with prompting and support, appropriately complex for first grade.
