Description
Our Decoding 1-Syllable Words lesson plan teaches students strategies for reading and pronouncing 1-syllable words. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to pick single-syllable words out of a list and say, spell, and use them in a sentence. Students are also asked to fill in blanks in given sentences with the single-syllable word that makes sense in context, demonstrating their understanding of the meaning of the words.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to decode regularly spelled one-syllable words.
