Description
Our Statistical Distributions lesson plan teaches students the basics of statistical distribution, including what it is and how it’s used. This lesson begins by describing a statistical distribution, and providing examples of questions that are and are not statistical questions. Examples of several types of graph shapes are included. During the lesson, students are asked to create a statistical question and collect data to answer it for hands-on practice. Students are also asked to individually complete practice problems in order to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify and write statistical questions. The student will be able to understand that a set of data collected using a statistical question has a distribution that is described by its center, shape, and spread.
