Description

Our Fractions with Denominators of 10 and 100 lesson plan teaches students how to draw a number line and identify where a mixed number or improper fraction is located. Students are asked to complete a fun, interactive activity in which they work in groups to flip bottle caps or other disks with numbers on them to create fractions, which they then add together. Students will also practice problems writing the fraction, creating a diagram, and plotting fractions on a number line.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to add fractions with denominators of 10 and 100 by creating equivalent fractions.
