Identifying and Using Determiners

In our Identifying and Using Determiners lesson plan, students learn how to make their writing clearer by identifying and using determiners. Students learn that determiners are also called noun markers or articles and practice using them in their own writing.

Our Identifying and Using Determiners lesson plan enables students to identify and use determiners in their writing, making their writing clearer and more specific. Following a group discussion and explanation of determiners, students are asked to work with a partner to identify determiners within a paragraph and to then share their answers with the rest of the class. Students are also asked to independently practice inserting the correct determiner into a text.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify and correctly use determiners, also referred to as noun markers or articles.
