Description
Our Great Wall of China lesson plan introduces students to the Great Wall of China and its place in world history, the origins of the wall, and facts about the Great Wall. Many students may never have heard of the Great Wall of China, and this may be their first exposure to it. During this lesson, students are asked to tell whether given statements about the Great Wall of China is True or False and rewrite any false statements correctly. Students are also asked to list what they believe may be some advantages and disadvantages of a wall built between countries, cities, towns, or neighborhoods, making them think about these issues more deeply.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define, identify and list characteristics of the Great Wall of China, and explain its history as it relates to China and history.
