Description
Our Tens from 10 to 90 lesson plan teaches students how to count by tens up to 90. During this lesson, students are asked to complete an activity in which they count out objects (popsicle sticks, pennies, etc.) in groups of tens and then add them together to form larger numbers, allowing them to visualize the concepts discussed during this lesson. Students are also asked to match the word form of multiples of ten (for example “seven tens”) with the number (“70”).
At the end of the lesson, students will understand that the quantity of tens from 10 – 90 represent groups of tens and zero ones.
