Description
Our Parts of Speech Functions lesson plan teaches students all about different parts of speech. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to draw a part of speech out of a hat, explain how the part of speech is used in a sentence, and then use identify it in a made-up sentence you share with your partner; the partners take turns doing this until they run out of parts of speech. Students are also asked to read sentences and identify various parts of speech, such as verbs, nouns, and adjectives.Â
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to explain the function of nouns, pronouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs in general and their functions in particular sentences.
