Description
Our Dictionary and Thesaurus lesson plan helps students define and correctly use a dictionary and a thesaurus, both print and digital, as a resource for vocabulary development, written expression, and reading comprehension. During this lesson, students are asked to write two short stories, the first using a specific set of words, which students can look up in their dictionaries if needed, and the second use synonyms of those words. Students are also asked to practice looking words up in the dictionary and writing the definitions.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define and correctly use a dictionary and a thesaurus, both print and digital.
