Description
Our Conveying Ideas lesson plan teaches students how their word choice can help them convey a specific idea. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to describe example scenes with two or more sentences, using words from the chart or their own “strong” words for the descriptions. Students are also asked to compare pairs of words, circling the more powerful, stronger, or precise word.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to choose words and phrases to convey ideas.
