Description
Our Using Information from Illustrations, Maps, etc. lesson plan teaches students how images, illustrations, graphs, and more can be used in conjunction with text. During this lesson, students are asked to read a paragraph and then describe the types of illustrations, images, and graphs that could be used with the text; they also look at an image and describe the text that could go with it. Students are also asked to read a passage and look at an image and then tell whether specific information can be found in just the text, just the image, or both.Â
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to use the information gained from illustrations (e.g., maps, photographs) and the words in a text to demonstrate their understanding of the text.
