Description
Our Read Orally with Accuracy, Rate, Expression lesson plan teaches students strategies to orally read text more accurately and with greater expression. Students also focus on reading with the appropriate rate. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to review a given fable and passage, identify words they may not know and clues to help them read with expression, and then practice reading the passages aloud to each other. Students are also asked to answer questions about reading more effectively in order to test their understanding of the methods outlined during this lesson.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to read text orally with accuracy, appropriate rate, and expression on successive readings.
