Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This site has made my homeschooling experience as the parent/teacher so easy and amazing. My son loves working through the units and wishes this was how it was done at school when he went to public school. Love the variety and activities that make learning so much fun for both of us!!!!

In our Volume 1 lesson plan, students learn the basics about volume in relation to cubes, rectangular solids, and square triangles. They learn how to calculate volume using various formulas and practice doing so with various shapes.

Description

Our Volume 1 lesson plan introduces students to the concept of volume in regards to cubes, rectangular solids, and square pyramids. During this lesson, students are asked to measure the classroom and determine the room’s volume in order to ground their understanding of this lesson in the real world. Students are also asked to individually complete practice problems in order to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify and use the formulas for the volume of cubes, rectangular solids, and square pyramids.
