Our Geometric Shapes lesson plan expands students knowledge of geometry shapes. Students are asked to tell how many sides different shapes have, identify quadrilaterals, and more. Students are also asked to draw a complete picture using only a given list of shapes.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to distinguish between defining and non-defining attributes, as well as draw shapes based on these attributes. Students will be able to classify shapes into categories. Students will be able to create halves, thirds, and fourths of equal proportions to shapes. Students will be able to create composite shapes.
