Description
Our Writing a Paragraph lesson plan introduces students to writing effective paragraphs. This lesson breaks down a simple paragraph for students and gives step-by-step instructions on how to write an effective paragraph. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively to write paragraphs, with one student providing the topic sentence and main ideas, and another filling in the rest. Students are also asked to work independently to rearrange sentences to create a more effective paragraph.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify the basic parts of a paragraph, and effectively write a paragraph, clearly communicating information or ideas about a topic.
