Description
Our Spelling Patterns and Generalizations lesson plan teaches students about patterns in spelling and how to use patterns to become better at spelling and writing. During this lesson, students are asked to use a book to find as many words as they can that follow each of the spelling patterns and list them. Students are also asked to choose the correct spelling of a word in context, demonstrating their understanding of the lesson material and how to correctly identify proper spelling.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to use spelling patterns in writing (word families, syllable patterns).
