Description
Our Greek Roots | Spelling Patterns lesson plan introduces students to Greek roots, their spelling, and how they can be used to increase understanding of the meaning of a word. Students are asked to identify common roots in a given set of words and independently create a Greek root tree using this set of words. Students are also asked to look up definitions of these given Greek roots words.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify and define Greek roots, correctly spell and define words that contain given Greek roots, and create sentences with words from the sort to demonstrate comprehension and command of vocabulary.
