Description
Our Concluding Informative Statement lesson plan teaches students about the characteristics of a great concluding statement and how to write them. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to read a classmate’s essay and write an effective conclusion for it; they then evaluate their conclusion based on specific criteria, giving them the opportunity to look at their writing objectively and correct any mistakes. Students are also asked to answer true or false questions about the information presented in this lesson, demonstrating their understanding of the material.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to provide a concluding statement or section to their informative essay or paragraph.
