Description
Our Supporting Opinions lesson plan teaches students how to support their opinions with evidence or other specific reasons. During this lesson, students are asked to review topic sentences with a partner, discuss them, and then state both their own opinion and their partner’s opinion on the statement, including reasons that they have that opinion. Students are also asked to choose a topic and write an essay that includes an introduction, their opinion, and their reasons for the opinion, with examples.Â
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to provide reasons that will support their opinions.
