Description
Our Compare Formal and Informal Language lesson plan teaches students all about formal and informal writing and how to distinguish between the two. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to take turns drawing words out of a hat, determining whether that word is informal or formal, and then using it in a sentence. Students are also asked to read example sentences and decide whether they are written using formal or informal English.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to compare formal and informal uses of English.
