Description
Our Developing and Organizing Writing lesson plan teaches students how to develop and organize their writing and breaks the process down into specific steps. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to develop a piece of writing on a topic of their choosing step by step, from deciding whether they should include opinions to its format to whether the writing style will be formal or informal; this allows the students a chance to break down the writing process into small pieces so that they better understand it. Students are also asked to match given information to the correct aspect of writing (development, organization, style, task, purpose, or audience).
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience.
