Description
Our Develop and Strengthen Writing lesson plan teaches students strategies for improving their writing using specific planning, editing, and rewriting skills. During this lesson, students are asked to complete an exercise in which they are given a specific amount of time to complete a writing task, such as “write as many words that rhyme with car as possible”. Students are also asked to read a passage, edit and revise it for spelling, grammar, and other errors, and then rewrite it.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to develop and strengthen writing as needed by planning, revising, editing, rewriting, or trying a new approach (with applicable guidance and support).
