Description
Our Delineate a Speaker’s Argument lesson plan teaches students how to identify and delineate a speaker’s arguments and claims and teaches students how to determine if these claims are supported by evidence or not. During this lesson, students are asked to match lesson vocabulary with their meanings, demonstrating that they understand the lesson material. Students are also asked to read given arguments and identify the claim, any evidence for the claim, what kind of claim it is, and more.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to delineate a speaker’s argument and specific claims, distinguishing claims that are supported by reasons and evidence from claims that are not supported.
