Description
Our Clarifying Meanings lesson plan is focused on encouraging students to ask and answer questions to clarify the meaning of different words. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to read a story together, identify the words that they don’t know, identify the meaning of those words, and then re-read the story. Students are also asked to insert words into the appropriate blanks in provided passages, demonstrating their ability to choose the correct words to complete sentences.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to ask and answer questions to help determine or clarify the meaning of words and phrases in a text.
