Description
Our Word Problems and Equations lesson plan guides students to write and solve an equation using meaningful real-world word problems. Students are asked to work collaboratively in small groups to create and draw word problems for the class to solve, leveraging peer learning and reinforcing the concepts presented in this lesson. Students are also asked to translate word problems to algebraic equations and solve in order to demonstrate their understanding.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to write and solve an equation from a real-world word problem.
