Description
The lesson introduces the concept of analyzing, evaluating, and distinguishing claims made by writers from reasons and evidence. Students are bombarded with several sources of information that shapes their opinions. The objective of this lesson is to provide students with a model and structure in which to evaluate the accuracy and reliability of information made by writers in presenting text in different forms. Students will learn to assess the claims made by others and to accept or reject the claims based on the evidence presented.
