Description
Our Using Technology to Publish Writing lesson plan teaches students about various methods for publishing writing using technology. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to write a short story, type it up using a word processor (such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs), and send it to a teacher or parent, allowing them to practice their typing and computer skills. Students are also asked to read scenarios (such as “Max wants to present pictures and text about rainforest animals to his class”) and decide the best way for that person to publish their work (such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Apple Pages, Email, and more).
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to use technology to produce and publish writing (using keyboarding skills) as well as to interact and collaborate with others.
