Description
Our Word Problems – Fractional Answers lesson plan teaches students how to effectively solve word problems with fractional answers. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively with a partner to write a real-life division of whole numbers word problems using given fractions. Students are also asked to work independently to solve practice word problems and explain their solution using pictures, numbers and/or words, demonstrating their understanding of the lesson material.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to solve word problems involving division of whole numbers leading to answers in the form of fractions or mixed numbers.
