The Constitution

Our The Constitution lesson plan teaches students about the Constitution, including what it is, who wrote it and when, and why it is still important today. Students practice summarizing various amendments and learn about the Bill of Rights as well.

Our The Constitution lesson plan introduces the constitution, defining it, explain its meaning, and summarize some of its amendments, including the Bill of Rights. During this lesson, students are asked to participate in a group activity in which they all pretend to be members of the Supreme Court, hearing cases; they then vote on those cases after lengthy discussions about it, simulating a very basic version of the court and how they approach constitutional questions in real life. Students are also asked to match given scenarios to the Constitutional amendment it involves.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify the Constitution, explain its meaning, and summarize some of the amendments, including the Bill of Rights.

    Love the products

I love the fact that as a homeschool mother they have products for free. Not only are they free, but they are full of wonderful information and have worksheets and answers included so as a busy mom I do not have to spend hours looking for answers if it is a project my daughter is doing alone. I love this site and what they have to offer.
