Description
Our Prohibition lesson plan introduces students to prohibition and the 18th and 21st amendments which banned and then permitted alcohol in the United States. The causes and effects of prohibition are introduced, along with the reasons the ban was eventually lifted. During this lesson, students are asked to work collaboratively, with a partner, to create persuasive posters both “for” and “against” the 18th Amendment, including information from the lesson and utilizing their creativity for the design and illustrations. Students are also asked to match terms to their correct definitions in order to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson vocabulary.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to follow the path of a food chain and define the terms related to a food chain.
