Description
Our New Deal lesson plan begins with a brief summary of the Depression and then introduces students to the New Deal and its implications for the United States and its citizens. The lesson focuses on President Roosevelt and how he worked hard to restore American’s faith in banks and helped restore the economy. Additionally, the lesson includes the alphabet of organizations and agencies created during Roosevelt’s New Deal. During this lesson, students are asked to match terms with their correct definitions in order to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson vocabulary. Students are also asked to match given statements to the correct act, law, or agency.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define New Deal, explain its implications for the United States, identify New Deal programs, and define key vocabulary related to the New Deal.
