Description
Our Mount Everest lesson plan introduces the students to Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world. The lesson includes interesting facts, details, and information about climbing Everest and the people who have climbed the mountain. The lesson may also be used to show students that challenges can be overcome through hard work and effort. During this lesson, students are asked to play a fun, interactive game with their classmates in which they correctly answer trivia questions about Mt. Everest to advance. Students are also asked to match terms with their definition in order to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson vocabulary.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify Mt. Everest and Edmund Hillary, list some facts about Mt. Everest, as well as explain the challenges related to climbing Mt. Everest.
