Description

Our Community Helpers lesson plan introduces community helpers to students and includes information for students to become involved in their community as a volunteer or helper. Students are asked to identify what different kinds of community helpers (mail carriers, farmers, etc.) do and are asked to reflect on why they are important in a community. They are also asked to reflect on the tools or supplies that each kind of helper needs to do their jobs successfully.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify community helpers and describe their roles and duties in a community.

    Fun Lesson for 2nd Grade

I like that Clarendon packages all necessary resources within one plan. This particular plan was fun as my daughter enjoyed exploring community helpers and identifying others in our community.

    Much Needed Math Resources

I have used several of Clarendon's math units for 3rd grade. I am so pleased with the materials! They are user friendly for me as a teacher, and clear and engaging for my students. Now that we must conduct classes through a virtual format, these materials are especially helpful. Thank you, Clarendon!

    Amazing resource!

We would be lost without the structure these lessons provide. So thankful for this resource!
