Our What Lives in the Ocean lesson plan introduces students to the plants and animals of the world’s oceans. Generalize understanding and strengthen communication skills as students share what makes their favorite sea animals special to them. During this lesson, students are asked to use their creativity to color in drawings of animals that live in the ocean. Students are also asked to find animals and plants that live in the ocean in a word search puzzle.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify plants and animals living in the oceans of the world.

    What lives in the ocean

I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I thought I would mention how I came upon your materials. I found a youtube video from your organization. I was quite excited about using it until the material was grossly incorrect. I'm sorry I don't have the title or link. The video was about animals that live on or in the ocean. It was telling us about penguins at the South Pole and went on to say how the polar bears live there too. The other information was so accurate and valuable I was tempted to use it anyway. If my students were older I would have used it with a challenge to find the error and use it as a lesson in finding multiple sources of information when doing research. Thank you for all your hard work!

    Colorful

I have been providing lesson plans for family members of Adults with Intellectual and Developmental disabilities while they are stuck at home. This lesson plan was very popular with these families primarily because it was so colorful and everyone loves animals.

    Excellent Teaching Resource

I was happy to find a lesson plan that gave me all of the information I needed to teach my students about ocean habitats. Thank you!
