Our Extinction lesson plan explores the different causes of extinction and gives examples of extinct animals. During this lesson, students are asked to differentiate between surviving, endangered and extinct animals, categorizing animals in each to demonstrate their understanding of these terms. Students are also asked to select the correct words to fill in the blanks in an informational paragraph about extinction.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define and explain different causes of extinction and give examples of extinct animals. The students will be able to define endangered and give examples of endangered species.
