Our Excretory System lesson plan introduces students to the basics of the excretory system. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to create a story from the perspective of a drop of liquid on a journey through the excretory system, illustrating the processes of the excretory system in a creative way; students will then share their stories with the class, practicing their presentation skills.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to describe the excretory system, along with its urinary system, define its parts, functions, and trace the movement of waste products through the body. The students will be able to write, draw, or design a creative presentation explaining the excretory system to others.
