Dinos A to Z: Big Book of Dinosaurs is compilation of our high-interest reading comprehension “Dinos A to Z” lesson series. These lessons allow students to practice grade-appropriate reading comprehension, foundational reading, and reading fluency skills. They are designed to be completed in one or two class settings.

Each lesson discusses a specific dinosaur or ancient animal that lived during the “Age of Reptiles” that students want to read about and that teachers will want to incorporate into their reading instruction. The lessons are appropriate as whole-class, stand-alone lessons or as independent small-group activities. Be sure to check if there are Learn Bright videos that go with this book!

What Dinos A to Z: Big Book of Dinosaurs includes

Overview: Dinos A to Z: Big Book of Dinosaurs is a collection of high-interest reading comprehension lesson plans all about dinosaurs. It contains a total of 36 lessons primarily about a specific dinosaur. There are some more general lessons and a couple lessons on ancient animals that were not technically dinosaurs at all, such as the Mosasaur. These lessons are for students in 2nd grade, 3rd grade, and 4th grade.

DINOS A TO Z: BIG BOOK OF DINOSAURS CONTENT PAGES & WORKSHEETS

Our Big Book of Dinosaurs contains the content page, activity worksheet, and practice worksheet for each of the lessons in the “Dinos A to Z” series. It is set up so that the full lesson—except the answer key(s)—is grouped together. The lessons are in alphabetical order, starting with the 4 general lessons and then the 32 dinosaur-specific lessons. All the answer keys are grouped together in the same order at the end of the book. If you choose to distribute the book to your students, be sure to exclude the answer key pages.
