Our Classifying 2D Figures lesson plan introduces students to the process of identifying and classifying two-dimensional figures based on their properties. During this lesson, students are asked to sort quadrilaterals into categories based on their properties and add them to a Venn diagram. They are also asked to write the definition of different kinds of 2D shapes, including triangle and equilateral, and identify their characteristics in order to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to classify two-dimensional figures based on their properties.
