Our Cells lesson plan introduces students to the differences between a plant and animal cell. During this lesson, students are asked to cut apart each paper cell part and “create” an animal cell and a plant cell, gluing or pasting them correctly to the construction paper and labelling each part and its function. Students are also asked to identify a plant and animal cell and label the parts of each on a diagram, demonstrating their understanding of the lesson.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define cell, identify a difference between a plant and animal cell, and label basic parts of a cell.
