Our Retelling Stories lesson plan teaches students all about effective ways to retell a story. Students learn why retelling stories is sometimes necessary and the steps to follow if you want to retell a story. During this lesson, students are asked to practice reading and then retelling stories using the steps given to them by their teacher. Students are also asked to identify the main points and some relevant details of stories that they read so that they can use them to retell the story later.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to state the purpose of retelling a story. Students will be able to retell a story citing key details from the beginning, middle, and end.

    Perfect!

Clarendon Learning is my go-to when I am looking for educational materials in working with adults with DD and ID. The lesson plans are easy to implement, to understand, and to track progress
