Description

Our Interpreting Information – Grade 4 lesson plan teaches students strategies for interpreting visual, oral, and quantitative information in a more effective way. During this lesson, students are asked to work with a partner to read text and come up with an interactive learning tool that would help someone understand and interpret the text; this allows them to put themselves in the shoes of the teacher and understand how to come up with the right questions and tools to interpret something. Students also read text and answer questions about it to test their new interpretation skills.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to interpret information presented visually, orally, or quantitatively and explain how the information contributes to an understanding of the text in which it appears.

    Great visual

Loved this lesson plan. The visuals that I could display on Smart-board were exactly what I was looking for. It provided the model that I needed to help students make connections.
