Description
Our Integrating Information – Grade 6 lesson plan teaches students about various types and presentations of information and how they are used. During this lesson, students are asked to use their creativity to create a brochure for a city that includes written text, photographs, and charts/graphs; they then explain what information was conveyed through each and how they differ. Students are also asked to do research on an animal of their choice and then write about what they learned about that animal from text, pictures, and more.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to integrate information presented in different media or formats as well as in words to develop a coherent understanding of a topic or issue.
