Triangles (Grades 1-3)

In our Triangles lesson plan for grades 1-3, students learn the basics about triangles. They practice drawing triangles as well as identifying them.

Our Triangles lesson plan for grades 1-3 introduces young students to triangles, using illustrations and photographs, including “real life” triangles such as pyramids and bridges. During this lesson, students are asked to draw as many triangles as they can on a given sheet of paper. Students are also asked to trace every triangle they find on a paper with different shapes on it, demonstrating their ability to recognize a triangle.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to recognize and draw a triangle.
