Pi

In our Pi lesson plan, students learn all about Pi, including what it is, when it’s used, and why it is so important. Students then use Pi to find the circumference and area of a circle.

Our Pi lesson plan introduces the concept and use of Pi to find the area and circumference of a circle. With interactive activities to solidify understanding, students will be able to write Pi using at least four decimal places and use Pi to calculate the area and circumference of a circle. Students are asked to craft a story that uses Pi as a character, engaging their creativity. Students are also asked to individually complete practice problems in order to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson.

At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define and understand the concept of Pi, write Pi using at least four decimal places, and use Pi to find the area and circumference of a circle.
