Our Multidigit Arithmetic – Multiplication lesson plan teaches students strategies for multiplying using two, three, and four-digit numbers. During this lesson, students are asked to use the different methods taught to solve practice problems in which they have to multiply numbers with multiple digits. Students also play an interactive practice game with a partner in which they write numbers on a piece of paper and take turns dropping chips on the paper to decide which numbers to multiply.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to multiply multi-digit numbers using place value and properties of operations.
