Description
Our Multi-Step Inequalities lesson plan explains how to solve multi-step inequalities. Students are reminded they must solve each side of the equation down to a single number before they can compare them. The lesson briefly reviews greater than and less than signs. Several examples of how to solve each side of the inequality equation are provided. Students are asked to identify the correct inequality symbol for different equations. Students are also asked to answer questions about inequalities and do practice problems involving them.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to solve multi-step inequalities using addition, subtraction, and grouping symbols.
