Our Math Properties Lesson Plan explores several different math properties. During this lesson, students are asked to create example problems for each property, solve them, and then have a classmate check their work, utilizing their collaboration skills. Students are also asked to complete practice problems on their own and match each property to its example problem to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to identify and use several math properties including the Commutative/Associative Properties of Addition and Multiplication, Distributive Property, Additive and Multiplicative Identity/Inverse Properties.
