Description
Our Introduction to Integers lesson plan equips students to define integer, recognize an integer, identify positive and negative integers on a number line, and name uses for integers. Students are asked to complete an interactive game using playing cards in which they work with a partner; in each game, the winner is determined by who has the greatest absolute value, smallest integer, etc. Students are also asked to complete practice problems on their own in order to demonstrate their understanding of the concepts.
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to define integer, recognize an integer, identify positive and negative integers on a number line, and name uses for integers.
