Our Division as Unknown Factors lesson plan teaches students about how missing factors can be found in division and multiplication problems. During this lesson, students are asked to find the missing factor in various division problems using multiplication. Students are also asked to create multiplication and division statements using specific numbers (for example, “write two different multiplication statements using 9, 6, and 54”).
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to understand division as an unknown-factor problem.
